Clickable Customer Custom Fields
This version of eCat introduces URL support for custom customer fields. Custom customer fields containing URLs automatically become tappable in eCat and in the eCat Online customer dashboard, allowing for seamless navigation to external resources. The options are endless, but here are a few use cases clients have discussed with us:
In eCat, link directly to the eCat Online Customer Dashboard for quick access to full invoice & order details and more..
Link to CRM pages to provide eCat users with key customer data like contact info, communication history etc.
Link to real time customer A/R aging, statements, and other financial reports in your accounting system.
For customers using the self service eCat Online portal, you can provide a link directly into your billing system so they can pay open invoices.
In addition, if your company uses the eCat Online portal, eCat automatically creates a special customer customer field populated with a link to the selected customer’s portal dashboard and displays in the customer panel for quick one click access to detailed invoice, order, and other information.

Save Time by Easily Converting Excel Data into eCat Lists.
eCat ‘My Lists’ can now be generated from Excel files uploaded to your iPad. Use the lists to create PDF presentations, email product details or to write orders with just a few taps. No more searching for products and adding them to a list one-at-a-time when the customer has already sent you a spreadsheet.
Use this feature to turn an Excel list of products provided by a retailer into an eCat ‘My List’ to use for display audits.
In seconds convert a list a customer has sent you into an eCat list, then create a presentation with detailed product information, pricing and images and email it to them.

Streamline Order Processing with PO Number Validation
eCat and eCat Online can now enforce PO number uniqueness across all your orders and invoices. For companies that require PO numbers on orders, eCat and eCat online orders will confirm that the PO number on the order has not been previously used on any other eCat or eCat Online orders, eCat Online Sales Portal orders, or invoices. If it has been used elsewhere, an error message will flag the user to correct it when submitting a new order. This reduces the cost of correcting duplicated orders and saves time for your customer service team.

Tailor eCat to Your Business Needs with Increased Flexibility
This release has several improvements to help you further adapt eCat to your specific business needs.
You can now replace the product dimensions shown by default in the single item view bottom toolbar below the price with up to three fields and labels of your choosing. . This can be done from Company Settings by searching for, Specify 'Single Item View' Fields & Labels.
For example, use this to display product dimensions in different units depending on the user group. Or use the field for availability or other custom information if that’s what’s most important for your business!
Added configurability to the Ship Date and Cancel Date fields. Manufacturers now have more control over what their customers can select for ship or cancel dates. You can now enable/disable the field or define date parameters that align with business requirements, ensuring more precise control over order fulfillment timelines.
For example, a manufacturer could disallow allow ship dates greater than 120 days in the future by setting a 120 day max limit for the ship date field on orders, or disallow cancellation less than 30 days in the future by setting a minimum days limit of 30.

Enable/ Disable the ‘Changed Address Warning’. Clients that change shipping addresses regularly can now turn off the notification to reduce clutter on the order PDF or order export API.
